I think this is a very good idea! I really love some of the pictures you girls have posted already-- Bulgaria looks so beautiful and interesting. I am always very jealous of places that have such a long history, because here in the US we just don't have anything like that. :|

I think probably most people have seen pictures already of the most famous places where I live (in Washington, D.C.), like the White House, and the Capitol buildings, and the famous monuments, so I'll try to find some things which are a little more unusual.

This is a picture of the cherry trees on the Tidal Basin (part of the Potomac River) which were given to the U.S. by Japan in 1912. Every year they bloom in late March/early April, and it's really pretty. (In the background is the Washington Monument)



This is the Washington National Cathedral. It's an Episcopal/Anglican church, and it's absolutely huge! But not very old... they started building it in 1907 and only finished it in 1990!



This, in fact, is the oldest surving building in Washington. It is very creatively called the "Old Stone House" and was built in 1765.

Oooh, Grace, I like very much your photos especially the second one. It's very beautiful. It's true that Washington is popular mainly with the White House and other buildings, but your pictures show things that are not so popular (at least for the not-americans) but are also beautiful

All these pics are beautiful! I really like the idea! Girls, you rule! I hope that someday i will be able to see all these cities. I have been only in New York, Annapolis, Towson and Baltimore... Hopefully, I will have some more experience...

I live in Botevgrad, Bulgaria. A small town 60 km away from Sofia. But I spend one month of the year in Tzarevo - the most wonderful place on this earth for me! Actually w have a house there because it is my father's hometown. And also from one interview I understood that Albenka and Max spend their vacation in Sozopol or in Tzarevo... I was amazed! I hope that this year luck will be on my side.. and i will meet them by chance somewhere in the streets!

I like to travel and I'd like to travel much more but I don't have the time&money and sometimes energy to do that. Except a trip to Hugary (in fact a little town near borders) most of my trips resume to my country. But I hope this year I'll manage to go visit some other countries too.

I like your photos a lot and each of them makes me wanna go see the place. I know that the world is huge and I can't visit everything I'd want..but, eh...that's why pictures are helpful...

I'm glad you liked them. Sometimes when it's sunny and clean the city looks very, very good. It has it's bad moments though...(Like all of us..bad hair day or so... )

I like your photos very much. I'm drowen to old arhitecture and constructions like that and ruins (I'm not sure whether this is the right term )...It's really beautiful, but i don't know what they represent I'll search the internet. You made me curious..
