Valérie Marcoux retires from eligible figure skating competition

I really, really did see this coming. :disap: Val and Craig's partnership hadn't been going anywhere recently. No I cannot even remember the last time that I saw them do a clean FS. Weep But still... I am extremely depressed. Weep I wish Valérie could've just found another partner and kept competing! Sad I've been a fan of hers for yearssss, now. Crying or Very sad But I wish her lots of success in coaching & in everything else!!! zvet :stari:

Erm... Erm.. Apparently, Craig is looking for a new partner. Suspect I can't really think of a girl looking for a partner right now. Buh.. Well, Meagan Duhamal is looking, actually. Erm.. But I cannot picture her and Craig skating together. Buh..

Meh... Jessica & Bryce aren't going to have any competition at next year's Nats. Buh..

I'll skate with Craig if he'll switch to dance. WHY am I so tall?!?

Canadian Nationals will be interesting next year with no M&B and no WakaFect. Crazy!

I know Valerie only since she's skating with Craig, so I didn't see it coming Shocked

I though they were skating together for a long time... saaad

I'm not sure about Amanda Billings Suspect I can't see Craig & Amanda together...

Not really. Erm.. They started skating together after the 2002 Olympics, if I remember correctly.

I wasn't very excited about Valerie and Craig Embarassed Sorry...but I felt no vibes, no emotions when watching them. Nothing... Shocked

But Amanda seems powerful and strong, so she can bring smth nice in the couple. Maybe it will work!! :vo:

I wasn't either this year. Embarassed When they broke up off-ice (or even during the 2005-2006 season) they seemed to loose all of their chemistry. Weep Their FS to "l'Amour" was such a mistake. Rolling Eyes It should have been beautiful, but it was always so flat. Buh.. If you are doing a program about love... you.need.some.chemistry. shocked

I think I am more upset that Val retired than anything. :disap: I've alwayssss liked her and admired her for her determination. zvet I will definitely miss her. Miss u!

I'm definitely an Amanda fan. bla-bla-bla I luuuuv her as a singles skater... but she doesn't have good enough jumps to get a place on the National team. Buh.. But she could definitely handle the side-by-side triples in a pairs program! zvet I am completely for the idea of Amanda skating with Craig. :respect: Bravo! zvet

I can't see her with Craig because I can only see Val with him Laughing I'll have to see Amanda skate before saying anything else!

I can definitly see Craig with Anabelle langlois Razz

And talking about their FS...I agree with you, it was a mistake to choose that thema! They SP however is one of my favourite of the year :woow:
