Congratulations!!!! Congrats!

Really? What was your podium, Petra? zvet

lol! Good question lol! !

But: Weep Weep Weep Weep Weep
The problem is that at the moment my TV is broken Rolling Eyes and that I simply have seen nothing of the worlds nooo ! I depend completely on kind souls who are uploading vids to youtube or fsvids Rolling Eyes ...
So: I canīt answer you this question! Until now I have not had the time to check youtube or fsvids for this, and I really canīt tell if they deserve being on the podium or not! I canīt judge if itīs fair that these ones have won the medals and that others havenīt...

And therefore I only congratulated and did not add a comment but telling that my favourites are not on the podium Wink ...

All I can say is that the ones who are on the top of the podium now simply in general are not my favourite dancing pairs...
I simply never belonged to the ones who like Domnina / Shabalin...
But this does not automatically mean that they do not deserve being there Wink ...
I like other dancing pairs (the Kerrs, Khoklova / Novitski, Faiella / Scali, Davis / White...) who maybe will never be on a podium in Worlds during the next years ... But who knows...

Sorry that I canīt give you a more satisfying answer! zvet
I hope you understand the "dilemma" Iīm in... Rolling Eyes

Oh okay. Smile I misunderstood and thought you were unhappy with the results because you'd seen the skating and thought it was poorly judged. Buh.. I hope your TV is fixed soon! Buh.. But at least we have wonderful creations like FSVids.net and of course, the Classic Standby, YouTube! Bravo!

I agree with Lana that Linichuk is something else. I think we can also include Karponosov. Laughing Tanith improved so much this year. :vo: I've never been a fan of her and Ben and also did not like Domnina & Shabalin, but this year they rock. poklon heart2 The change of coaches helped them. :vo:

Poor Karponosov. Weep It is terrible of me to neglect him so! Laughing You're wonderful too, Karponosov! :respect: And I agree with you on both points, Ivana! zvet I really liked Oksana and Max a few years ago. Their 2005-06 FD was gorgeous. Buh.. Buh.. Buh.. But since then... Erm.. I think their coaches had ran out of ideas for fab dances because they'd really lost the quality that had made them so compelling to watch. Embarassed But they have *it* back and it's so fantastic to see!!! Bravo! :dube: lovely heart Just loved them here. Buh..

Lana you are absolutely right that Linichuk is a miracle worker and i am glad that both teams switched to her .I am not an expert and Oksana and Max probably were better technically but i didn't enjoy their FD as much as i enjoyed P/B ,B/A ,K/K,V/M and D/W .It was too heavy and slow to digest and i hope next season their coaches will chose something more delightful for them . zvet

 Too each their own opinion, yes? zvet I loved that dark drama surrounding Oksana and Max's dance. Buh.. But that's always been the kind of stuff I like! Laughing I loved it. :luvzy: That passion and emotion has always been what made ice dance so special for me. :dube: lovely heart Bravo! So, I guess you can tell why I liked it! lol!

sunny Of course , and i never stopped liking them but was disappointed with their choice of FD for the last 3 years this one included.I absolutely love the OD but this FD IMHO is to heavy for them and i was unhappy with the lifts that looked powerful but were done with a struggle and i am not talking about Max .Oksana was literally climbing on him and to me it wasn't graceous at all.I don't know maybe she gained a little weight or they should have different kind of lifts but for me something was off in that dance. But ,yes as you said everybody has different opinion and overall i am glad they came back and won.Another thing that bottered me enourmously / and i hope i won't get you mad/ was Max's reaction after they saw their marks. It wasn't the reaction that was saying "Yes ,we did it" ,it was more of "Yes,in your face" .I was like "Get over yourself , man you are good but not so great if you don't have the support of the Russian Federation and your coach's diplomatic skills". I hope you understand what i mean.I just don't like this kind of attitude . zvet

Oh that's the exact opposite of what I saw. :blush2: I just saw a guy who was genuinely happy with the results. I didn't see any ego or macho behaviour, just relief and excitement. They've had a hard season. I thought Max was celebrating the fact that it was finished. I thought there was a real sense of relief when he threw up his arms, like "Thank God that's done!". Rose If it was Roman K doing the same gesture... :kataus: Then, I'd have agreed with you!!! :respect: lol!

I too believe that he was just so happy with their performance. Even on the podium during the medals ceremony he got Oksana to sing the Russian Anthem and they looked so happy. His interview afterwards was very gracious they took pictures with Tanith, Ben, Gennadi and Natalia all together. I thought that was very nice.

Me too, I've wondered what happened to Carolina Crying or Very sad I've watched only the performances of top 4 (IMHO, Mao deserved to get a medal), I'll search for videos in youtube ... it's really awful ranking for her.
But congrats for Laura Lepisto Smile I'm fan of hers since last Euros, and again she's the best ranked European :stari: I'm curious to see her FS too.

As for the ice dancing, I'm happy for Kerr/Kerr and Nathalie/Fabian - very good ranking for them. I hope they'll improve more in the next years, if they won't retire, (I mean the Kerrs Crying or Very sad because I'll miss them so much).
I think that Tanith and Ben were a little bit better than Oksana and Max and deserved the title. IMHO, their OD and FD were better. But anyway, since A&M don't compete I don't care so much who wins Razz Congrats for them! And for Linichuk and Karponosov, of course Smile - another world chapmions coached by them Smile !

What a beautiful gala ohhhh .....i loved Tomas's programme he was so funny .I thought Bryan would perform his Euros programme (i'm yours by Jason Mraz)but i guess he was more in the mood for Hallelujah Crying or Very sad (i just can't forget his face at the end of the FD Crying or Very sad )....I admit that Bryan was my favourite but i go by the rule 'may the best man win' and Evan was the best but honestly i didn't like his gala programme ....he just moved his hands more than he skated....YUKO and ALEXANDER also rocked....such an original presentation zvet ....the rest were ok(IMHO)....only one regret...POOR ALIONA she got sick and they couldn't perform saaad ....maybe next year
