I've got my tickets for OD and FD (I'll miss the exhibition due to train times) and I'll probably find the venue, since I think there's a metro station near, but apart from that - does anyone know how early you have to show up to be let in? Or don't they let you in before the time stated on your ticket? And is there any chance at all of seeing the practices, since they don't seem to sell tickets to those? |
I've never been to TEB, so I can't answer the question about when to show up specifically, but I've never been to a competition anywhere (including in France) where showing up 20-30 minutes before the time shown on the ticket wasn't completely safe.
And I'm 99.9% sure that without a credential you can't get into practices at TEB. Which is a little bit bad, because sometimes they can be fun to go to, but a little be good, because you're going to be in Paris! Go see Paris! |
I don't know for TEB but for French Nationals, only the schools can go at practices _________________ Nobody said it was easy No one ever said it would be this hard |

| Any chance of passing myself off for a French schoolgirl? (I guess not. They'd know how to speak French, for one thing.) :-) That's a shame, though - I was hoping that at practice, there would be fewer people and I might see Albena and Max closer up. As it is, I'll have to make do with watching them as little bright spots somehwere down on the ice. :-) |

Marina and Nyx...Enjoy!!!!! Enjoy!!!!! I'm sure it will be fabulous....and I'm glad they compete. This means that they are ok, that Maxim's hip/heap is a lot better. I honestly hope that this will not cause him future problems
Again, like last time.....this thread has so many messages that I only have time to read this one... I have to go now to my polish classes....hehe
I decided to go to Euros, I even spoke with the person who sells tickets. I'll book them in the next few days...iiiiuuhuhuhuuhuh... Still, I have to find a cheap hostal, residential house or smth.
And Lerochka....tell Albenka and Maxim..tell to his parents....that...Ah, so many things to say. You know what? Maybe I'll call you these days
Kisses to all, I miss being here!! I want to be here more often!! Really...
8 sins..hehe..._________________ Many of us promised....and we intend to keep this promise. We will be by your side no matter what...crying, hoping, suffering..but always yours. I pray for the girl. My sincere regrets for Petar and his family and friends. I'm terrbily sorry. |

| Hi everyone! This is my first post here and I know it's very late, but I went to Skate America and was very impressed with Albena & Maxim's fans! I don't know if they belong to this forum, but there were two women there who were absolutely crazy about them and dressed up in the colors of the flag at every competition and practice! It was great. They're lucky to have such great fans! I see this thread is already very long, and someone already found my Flickr page and posted it, but I wanted to give you all some more photos (where Albena isn't bleeding!): http://www.flickr.com/photos/kolasinskiI would've posted more but my free Flickr account only allows me to upload a few each month! Maybe next month... Some quick details I also thought you might be interested in - The Hartford Hilton that we were staying in had a small fire Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. Everyone had to evacuate (including skaters!) and I saw Maxim hanging out with Sasha Zaretski while waiting to get back inside. Didn't notice where Albena was. The crash with the Kerrs at Saturday's practice didn't seem to slow them down one bit - they're tough! Albena kept touching her leg, but I didn't even realize Maxim was injured until I read it here. Later it looked like the Kerrs might have cut them off during the FD warmup (or at least skated a bit too close before turning), and Albena just looked at Max and shook her head. Also, the Gordeeva, Kulik, & Petrenko families were watching their FD, along with some of the other competitors. On Sunday, Albena practiced for the exhibtion alone (I'm guessing so Maxim could rest his hip). I have a few pictures of her skating by herself then. Their exhibition was very energetic and they didn't seem at all injured. Obviously this report is very late (sorry!) but I hope you enjoy the photos. And I agree with everyone who likes Fabian Bourzat! WOW! hehe Kristen |
